What we collect
Talk to Leni processes the messages you send, a structured summary of the issue, and a random session identifier stored in a necessary browser cookie. When you submit an attorney request, we collect your name, email, phone, state, ZIP code, preferred contact method, reviewed summary, conversation, and consent record. We also collect information attorneys submit to join the network and information submitted through the contact form below.
How information is used
We use this information to provide the conversation, organize intake, respond to requests, operate the attorney network, and protect the service. In AI mode, chat messages and intake context are sent to OpenAI for processing. We request that responses not be stored through the API’s response-storage feature; this does not override the provider’s own security and retention policies. Contact form fields are not sent to the AI. Demo mode uses scripted responses and does not send chat text to OpenAI.
Sharing is your choice
We share an attorney request with participating licensed attorneys or law firms for the purpose of responding to it only after you expressly agree. The request includes contact information, case summary, and conversation. Authorized service providers involved in hosting, AI processing, and request delivery may process information to operate the service. Attorneys receiving information have their own professional and privacy obligations. We do not use your consent to enroll you in marketing.
Analytics, cookies, and technical records
We record daily totals for product events such as starting a chat or submitting a request. Analytics do not contain case text, contact information, or individual session profiles. We do not use advertising trackers. IP addresses are hashed for temporary rate limiting; the hosting infrastructure may retain IP addresses and request paths in security logs. The necessary session cookie expires after 24 hours.
Retention and security
Unsubmitted conversation records expire after 24 hours and are removed by a daily maintenance task. Submitted leads contain a copy of the conversation and are retained for up to one year, as are attorney applications and service requests. Aggregate event totals are retained for up to one year. Daily database backups are retained for 30 days. Access is restricted, traffic uses HTTPS, and no system can promise absolute security or confidentiality. Chats are not attorney-client privileged.
Your requests
You can request access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of consent using the form below. We may verify your identity to protect your information. Withdrawal cannot reverse sharing already completed; recipients may have separate retention obligations. Deletion may take up to 30 additional days to age out of backups. Legal or security obligations may limit what can be removed.
